I took a trip to the Vet today. It was just for a checkup and to remove a couple of the stitches in my paws that didn't disolve. I kind of like it there because there is this really BIG fish tank with lots of colorful fishies swimming around. I think it would be a lot of fun to catch some of them!
Everyone there likes me a lot. My paws are all just fine and I now weigh 7 pounds 5 ounces. It sure is a good thing my human has a medium size kitty carrier because I won't fit in a small one pretty soon. I will be 6 months old on the 26th of October, and the Vet said I am very healthy.
With the weather getting colder there have been more flies and bugs outside of my window and I have been chattering to them a lot.
Guess that's it for now. I think I'll go play peek-a-boo for a while with my human.
You woke me up!

New Words
Meow (that means Hi),
I have been very busy learning lots of new things. My human still hasn't figured out how to add new pictures, but I wanted to share a couple of exciting things that I have learned lately.
Two new words in my ever increasing vocabulary are: Treat and Peek-a-boo.
No matter where I am in my home, when my human calls out 'treat' I very quickly dash to the kitchen to await one of my favorite parts of the day. Once a day I get a small dish with some very tasty treats. They are crunchy and I really like them. To make them special I only get them once a day (usually in the afternoon). Yummy!
My other word is Peek-a-boo. I get to play with my human and she helps me hide in a large towel and then uncovers my head so we can 'peek-a-boo'. Usually if I am contemplating climbing the mini blinds I get distracted by this game. When I hear that word I go to the towel on the floor and we start playing.
That's all for now, I have to go talk to some bugs on the outside of my window.

More Fun
More Fun
Some of my other favorite things to do are jump into the tub (when it is dry) and chase my tail; I like to get on my human’s bathroom counter when she is getting ready in the mornings. She only puts me down if I try to eat her toothbrush. I used to like to pull the sheer curtains down in her bedroom, but I can’t do that anymore since I don’t have claws. That’s probably a good thing since I don’t get sent to the playroom for that anymore. I like to sit on my human’s chest when she is reading, but that doesn’t last too long because she can’t read easily that way. So she just moves me to her lap and then we both get what we want.
One time my human’s family (her daughter and 2 of her grandson’s) came to stay overnight with us. I had so much fun playing with the boys that when they left the next morning I was sad. I kept going all through the house meowing and looking for them. I hope they come back soon!
My human’s friend came over the other day and I got to play with the strap of her purse. I also let the friend pet me because she was so nice to me.
My human and I have kind of morning routine. When she gets up she will come out of her bedroom and go to the desk and turn on her computer. I go directly to her desk chair so I can watch what she is doing. She will also raise the blinds (for the day) by the desk for me so I can look out at things like birds, bugs, and anything that is interesting. I follow my human around a lot in the mornings because I have missed her during the night. She told me if I would quit chasing and biting at her feet she would let me sleep on the bed again. Maybe after I become an adult I will stop being a pest so I can sleep up there. Right now I’m having too much fun being a ‘kid’.

Fun Time
Fun Time
Since a cat’s age is equal to about 9 times a human’s I could be considered a toddler (you know: The Terrible Two’s). I am told that I am living up to that ‘title’ quite a bit. I can run around the house and get into a lot of things for periods of time and then I just jump into my human’s lap and take very long naps. Actually I think she likes that because she likes it when I cuddle with her.
My human and I love to play together, but for a while my sharp claws caused a lot of ‘owie’s’ on my human. That made playing together not so much fun for her. Things are much better now. We had a long talk and decided that if I didn’t have my front claws we could have a lot more fun together. Some people don’t approve of this, but everyone was really kind to me and made sure I didn’t have a bunch of pain. My human even came to visit and hold me during my stay at the Vet Hospital, so I knew she loved me a lot. Even the workers there spoiled me and said I was really cute!
I am now over 5 months old and I guess you could say I ‘rule the roost’! I play with some fun toys, a lot of which are paper sacks, cloth grocery bags, empty toilet paper rolls, and even the plastic wrap off of a 12 roll pack of toilet paper. I have a stuffed fishy that is about 3-4 inches long and I like to pick it up with my mouth and then run around the house with it. I also have a couple of cloth balls that are only about 1 ½ inches diameter so I can pick them up too. I have fun hiding the balls so my human can hunt for them. Sometimes she will find them in my food dish.
Another fun thing is to get up on my human’s desk when she is trying to use the computer. I can walk on the keyboard (when she is trying to type) and also sit in front of the monitor until she either moves me off the desk or gives up.
I like to climb up the mini blinds. They are like a ladder, and it is a lot of fun. Unfortunately my human does NOT like this. She frowns and scolds me, but usually I just look at her and do it anyway! That is when I get exiled to the back bedroom which is called my playroom. Some days I spend a lot of time there because I won’t leave the blinds alone. My bathroom is right there so I don’t have any ‘accidents’. I understand all of this so I just make the best of it and play with things in there and take naps.
When I first came to live here with my human I only weighed 2 pounds 3 ounces. I now weight almost 6 pounds so I am definitely not starving here. I have lived here for almost 3 months and I’m really happy. My human loves me a lot and I think she enjoys my company.

New Home
New Home
The next day my human came to take me home with her. Wow, I had a lot of rooms to explore. Up until this point I had only been in one room, now I had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one just for me), a living room, kitchen and dining area. There were even some new toys to play with and lots of different things to explore. Since I was so tiny my human decided she needed to shorten my name so that is how I became Livie.
The first several nights I got to sleep right on the bed with my human. Since I was still getting used to different surroundings I stayed right there. By the end of the first week I decided that wanted to roam around at night. Also, I thought it was a lot of fun to chase my human’s feet under the covers, since I have really sharp claws and teeth that became a problem for my human. So now she keeps her bedroom door closed at night. Bummer, I was having a lot of fun!
We had our first visitor a couple of days after I got to my new home. I think the nice human liked me and I think she is pretty interesting.
I think I am really going to like this new home, and my human is Super Nice!

The Beginning
This is a journal of my life as an adored, lovable pet. I’m starting this story a little after the fact, but I thought it would be a good idea if I told you a little about my life before I became a beloved and pampered pet.
My sister, Crystal, and I (originally named Olivia), were born to a nice furry Mama at a local Humane Society Shelter. That very same day the three of us were taken to a foster family. This family consisted of a nice lady, her husband, two kids, and a really BIG (but friendly) dog.
I spent my first 9 weeks with my foster family. My sister, furry Mama, and I had a room all to ourselves with lots of fun things to play with. My furry Mama taught us how to play and also how to use the litter box.
One day a nice lady came to visit us, to see if one of us could be her companion. She said that she had recently lost her beloved Siamese cat that had been with her for over 18 years. I figured she must be a pretty nice human if she had kept her other pet that long.
Crystal and I played with our toys and generally showed off our winsome personalities. The nice lady talked to our foster family for awhile. I think they both wanted to be sure that one of us would be a good choice. The nice lady decided that she wanted to have me for her companion (because I’m just so darn cute!), so we made a trip to the animal shelter so I could get a microchip and also get started on my vaccinations. I had to stay overnight for this part, and I wasn’t too happy about staying there.
